"Seeking refuge in the wilderness of being"

(Charcoal drawing series)

In postmodern thought, the inner space or the soul has been desecrated. Therefore, I seek a new form of mysticism, resulting in a journey through a labyrinth of inner chambers permeated with light and transcendence but also with the struggle, pain, oppression or desire, emotions that make us human.

I began by drawing an inner archive where memories and emotions are stored. From a distance, this seems like a coherent whole, but up close, it's a proliferation of fears, doubts, unfulfilled desires, and delusions. By expressing this, I seek confrontation with what is unseen; never voiced but present nonetheless.
